The Greatest Poem Ever Written

“Halloween Night” by J. Wiltz

The original 5th grade text

It reads:

Halloween Night is the birthday

of fright

With witches on broomsticks

flying high in the sky

And werewolves in the woods

screaming howls and cries.

With the Frankenstein’s Monster

stomping madly through town

And the ghosts have large

chains that keep clanking around

There are lots of vampires

who bite people’s necks

Should I continue this poem?

Oh what the heck!

All this evil comes from

the devil.

But there are ways to

stop all these hauntings and

yells

Like wooden stakes and

sunlight too.

Happy Hauntings to all, and

to all a big BOO!

Okay, so it’s not exactly Shakespeare or child prodigy-level material, but hey, I got a sticker for it. I keep it on the inside cover of the notebook.
